Here are the details:
- The Healthy & Fit Magazine Expo will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Hall A and B of the Lansing Center, on Saturday, September 27, 2008. There is no admission charge.
- The Expo features up to 121 businesses and services, in booths, that address and compliment the healthy lifestyle.
- There is a center stage featuring a series of instructors with their students, who will demonstrate various athletic activities, changing the demo every 30 minutes. The ’07 demonstrations included Jazzercise, Martial Arts, Cardio Hip Hop, Group Power (lifting weights as a class), Good Form Running, gymnastics, Tai Chi, Self Defense, and more. There is an audience participation area near the stage, so you can watch, or join in and work out with the class.
- This year, indoor cycling stunts and demonstrations will be featured in the Expo hall.
- Kids will enjoy climbing the Tiki-head, inflated rock wall.
- Elite athletes will demonstrate basketball, rowing, baseball, softball, floor hockey, and more, in the Expo hall. Following each interactive demonstration, the public will have an extended opportunity to talk to the athletes, and to get autographs. Last year members of the Michigan State University men’s and women’s basketball team, hockey, baseball, softball and crew were on hand for demonstrations and autographs.
- A second stage with audience seating will offer speaking opportunities for health and fitness-related experts.
- A third stage will offer a venue for various dance demonstrations, such as NIA.
And more.
