Join Us for a Tuesday Night Ride

It’s that time of the week – Tuesday! The Mason Tuesday Night Ride is mid-Michigan’s best training ride for local and visiting mass start cyclists that emphasizes both high average speeds and race finishing skills.

The Tuesday Night Ride is a high quality road bicycle training ride around Mason, Michigan. Cyclists will ride along a 40-mile loop, consisting of flat and rolling terrain. The ride is a group pace line effort to simulate race speeds, which culminates in five sprints throughout the loop. After each sprint we regroup, recover briefly while spinning and repeat the fun. The benefit to racers is the chance to learn and practice high average speeds and race finishing skills. Speeds average 22-24 mph with lows of 16 mph and highs of 38 mph.

We hope you will come out for our first ‘Tuesday’ ride TONIGHT, March 16th, at 6 p.m. We meet in Mason, Michigan in the Church of Christ parking lot at the Southeast corner of College Road and Cedar Road. This first ride will be slightly shorter (30 miles and 1.5 hours) to help us avoid getting stuck in the dark. No one will be dropped.

If you cannot make the first ride tonight, we will continue the tradition throughout the racing season! Come enjoy the first days of spring and start the season off right. We cannot wait to see you there!
