Keeping Kids Healthy: Kids Mile Fun Run
Staying healthy and fit is essential for the young and old alike. Every parent wants to raise healthy children, but where do you start? Carson City Hospital is hosting a Kids Mile Fun Run and Community Health Expo on Saturday, October 24, 2009. The event was designed to encourage children to stay healthy and fit.
The Kids Mile Fun Run will begin at 8 a.m. at the Carson City-Crystal High School track. The race is designed to promote physical activity to 3-12 year old children. Registration is $7 in advance and $10 on the day of the event. The registration form can be found at http://www.sparrow.org/carson/healthexpo2009.pdf.
The Community Healthy Expo will follow the Kids Mile Fun Run from 9 a.m. to noon at Carson City-Crystal High School West Gymnasium. The event will provide free, fun activities for kids and families.
